As an equestrian myself, I've always recognized the beauty in any horse I've ever met. These timeless sessions are done with your specific horse in mind, with capturing their personalities and beauty being the ultimate goal. Each session includes multiple poses, head shots to full bodies, with varying angles that focus on showing off your horse's best features. I use entirely natural light, so no extra equipment or backdrop needed, most of the magic happens through my extensive editing process! Each image is hand-edited with extreme detail, making each shot extremely personalized with my own artistic style. Horses and ponies of all breeds, ages, and disciplines look absolutely stunning!

These packages include only social media digitals with a small logo, with the options to purchase high quality, professionally made prints through Giana Terranova Photography after their images are received. We will handle all your printing, framing, and delivery in a seamless care free experience!
The All Inclusive Collection are an answer to those clients who just want them all! These packages differ in that they include all the edited images in high resolution with a full printing release. This collection is great for those who want to keep those images forever and handle the printing themselves at their own pace. Of course you can still print through Giana Terranova Photography if you want something super special, but these packages give you an option to choose!

Giana Terranova Photography is now offering the stunning White Background Portraits as an Add On either black background package. The stark contrast of horses against the white have a whole different look and feel that aligns perfect with Modern Art Deco. Because these sessions have limited posing, they are an Add On only, and the session fee includes Four Edited Digitals with creative posing and a more artistic feel. Combine the black and white background images of your horse to get a completely different look.

05. TIME TO DECORATE
As much as we are in the digital age, there's something timeless about prints that can never be replaced. These black and white background portraits act as perfect fine art decor for your home or office, adding the just right amount of wall artwork to any space. Although these finished images look great on any surface, I always recommend the classic matte look of wrapped canvas, which stands off the wall and doesn't require any framing. WHAT SHOULD I DO TO PREPARE?
All sessions offered by Giana Terranova Photography are laid back, worry-free experiences. The amount of preparation is completely up to you, but there are several things I highly suggest because these equine portraits are very highly detailed! I always recommend you emulate whatever show preparation that you might do for a competition, for example: clipped, clean, make up, and clean bridle. Clipped ears and muzzle are not entirely necessary, but highly suggested as they show up very obviously against the black backgrounds. Horses are also not required to be braided, but I definitely recommend it if you have the means!
As for set up, the sessions are done in a barn aisle or covered arena if available. I'd advise a clean area, lights off or barn doors closed if possible but not necessary. The floor will be in some of the shot, so a clean and swept area is recommended. An assistant is extremely helpful if available as well. I suggest to use the show bridle that the horse usually goes in, with a simple metal snaffle being the best -- but figure 8's and other jumper, dressage, and western bits are welcome. Before the session starts, have the reins removed and a lead rope attached to the bit, which will be edited out. It is just used for keeping control while easily switching sides! Remember to bring your horse's favorite treats as well!

HOW DO I PAY FOR A SESSION?
There are several options to choose from. Payment by check or credit card is preferred and payment is required immediately following the end of the session. If you wish to pay online with credit card, there will be an option to pay online when I send you the online contract!
TRAVEL FEES?
Travel fees may be included depending on distance, but will be discussed with you prior to booking. Generally, for trips traveling outside of my general locations (Gettysburg, PA or Wellington, FL) that require flying or driving long distances, I charge a flat fee for ALL clients to cover travel expenses. Once again, If I didn't discuss travel fees with you prior to booking, they may not apply!
CAN YOU EDIT THIS OUT?
A lot of work goes into these portraits to make them look absolutely perfect, and that includes extensive touch-ups. Don't be worried about scratches, scars, fungus or other blemishes, and if you are feel free to ask and I will remove them free of charge!
However, editing will not clean a dirty horse, and the cleaner the horse, the better the image! I cannot de-hair a furry coat, so being clipped to get that sleek coat is always recommended. Dirty bridles and tack will also be very obvious. Keeping in mind, as well, that the more editing the longer it will take to receive the images, but I want you to be absolutely happy with every image you receive!
CAN YOU GET THIS PARTICULAR SHOT? WHAT IF I HAVE MULTIPLE HORSES?
Every session will have a set number of poses for each horse, but if you have something specific in mind that you'd really like please let me know! If you have more than one horse, I will also edit them together for a few shots as well for an extra fee. Despite contrary belief the group images I have taken are actually shot separately and the images are edited together, so don't worry if your horses don't get along or there isn't enough space to fit them. I do my best to create believable compositions afterwards!
HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
Digitals are included in every session package that I offer! I love being able to give clients the ability to share their images with friends and family online. How you receive your images will depend on what Collection Option you chose!
The ESSENTIAL COLLECTION digitals you receive are considered ‘digital proofs’ only and will be sent with my logo on them for social media use only. These images are not permitted to be printed except through my professional printing labs to achieve the highest quality. You will receive your images, usually through email, with a link to a personalized online gallery from which you can download the files straight to your computer.
The ALL INCLUSIVE COLLECTION includes also the High Resolution Files with a Print Release via a Custom USB in the mail. You will still receive a Social Media Gallery to download and post right away, the USB will ship out 1-2 weeks after!
Completion of images into your gallery depends on the type of session, but my typical turn around is 4-5 weeks.
CAN I ORDER PRINTS OF MY IMAGES?
I work in tangent with several printing companies to offer you physical prints in multiple sizes. Being able to hang your images on your wall creates a physical way to celebrate your memories forever. Clients can purchase prints from 4x6 and up right in their personalized galleries, and have them delivered straight to your door! There are plenty of options and prices available, and if you have a size not listed on my product page linked above, inquire for custom options!
CAN I PURCHASE PRINTING RIGHTS?
Absolutely! If you don’t want to go for the All Inclusive Collection, I also sell the High Resolution Digitals with the ability to print yourself with a full Print Release. These can be purchased individually or at a packaged price for multiple. If you’d like to purchase printing rights, please inquire on pricing.
