WEF 2023 APPLICATION
Giana Terranova Photography is looking to add new members to the team for the WEF Season in 2023. We are a very dedicated, involved, and creative business focused on offering a special client experience during our time in Wellington. Working for GTP gives you an opportunity to live in Wellington during the season, learn, and grow as a photographer yourself. We are looking for photographers who are dedicated, experienced in the discipline, and who love doing their job. Please follow the application closely.
REQUIREMENTS:
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be over 18 and be able to drive and have their own car if needed.
Must be responsible, able to time manage and follow direction. WEF can be a LOT of work, long hours, and fairly stressful at times, if this is not something you’re suited for, need not apply.
The schedule will vary every week and day depending on client schedules. You will have days off and are more than welcome to book photoshoots (no other private clients). GTP hours must be a priority always.
Must be open to instruction, friendly critique and wanting to learn and grow
Must be available all WEF season (12 weeks) from January 1st - April 4th. I may be open to 1-2 months at a time but priority is finding people for the whole season first.

Must carry Liability Insurance to submit to the show.
Must submit W-9 as an independent contractor.

EQUIPMENT & SHOOTING
Have a complete understanding of camera equipment, lighting, and settings. There will not be a lot of time to teach how to use your camera or timing over jumpers, these should be known skills. Must shoot on manual and at lower f/stops, no exception.
Ideally have a professional full frame Nikon brand camera and at least a Nikon 70-200mm 2.8. We only shoot Nikon to help with streamlining the editing process. I am willing to be open to pro Canon users, or providing some extra equipment. Open to discussing this.
Be creative, willing to try new things, and open to learning. GTP values the style of our images and applicants need to follow the general guidelines of images we take, offer, and emulate.
PORTFOLIO
Must provide a recently updated portfolio of hunter AND jumper photos. Only horse shows photos and nothing else. I would recommend a variety of images, across divisions big and small. I don’t want to see just pictures of the Grand Prix, as we have all levels of clients who show at different heights, and we value them all equally.
Do not send me your Facebook or Instagram, or just a link to your website that I have to search to find images. Please have a curated gallery portfolio of your work for me to view. If you do not do this I assume you are lazy and don’t follow directions.
