Okay wow!! This session was just fantastic start to finish. The Big Red Barn Retreat is a barn in Blythewood, SC that I’ve visited on occasion but have never done a sunset shoot at — and dang the light was fantastic! Heather and her lovely gelding Rhett Butler was an absolute blast to photograph on this warm evening, along with her fiancee Zachary. Not featured but working behind the scenes was Heather’s awesome twin sister Heidi, who was her perfect hype-woman!

Heather has owned Rhett since he was a foal, and they essentially grew up together — their relationship is so clear in their images!! Love seeing partnerships that last a lifetime.
